PRIDE IN SCHOOL

The mandate of the Pride Library is to acquire, preserve, organize, and give public access to information and materials by and about lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans and queer communities (LGBTQ). Housed in the D.B. Weldon Library at Western University, The Pride Library welcomes visitors from outside as well as inside the University gates. The Pride Library collection includes books, periodicals, videos, slides, and CDs, amounting to over 5,500 titles.

Positive Space Ally Program at Fanshawe

The Positive Space Ally Program at Fanshawe works to fulfill the Fanshawe Promise for LGBT2Q+ Staff and Allies: Educate and train Allies across the spectrum by offering informal lunch and learns, Engage the community in social events, Empower staff and students with knowledge regarding LGBT2Q+ history, and Excite our allies into embracing diversity in all its forms. By fulfilling the Fanshawe Promise, we hope to Unlock the Potential of the LGBT2Q+ community at Fanshawe.

PrideWestern

PrideWestern is a support service for LGBTQ+ students run by the University Students' Council (USC) at Western University. It serves as a resource and support system for students with questions regarding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, 2-Spirited, and Asexual (LGBTTQ2A) issues. The organization promotes awareness and advocacy on LGBTTQ2A issues brought about through a variety of programs, including discussion groups, social events, and awareness days.

Spectrum Fanshawe

Spectrum Fanshawe is a social and advocacy group for LGBTQ2+ individuals at Fanshawe College. Our aim is to create a safe and positive space within the college for LGBTQ2+ students to meet and socialize with their peers, as well as to impact the college in a positive way. We provide a resource list and referral system for student use. Meetings are open to current Fanshawe College students and alumni, members within the community, as well as allies.

The Women's Issues Network is a USC service dedicated to recognizing, representing, and rectifying gender inequalities affecting Western students. WIN is committed to providing a space free from racism, sexism, and homophobia as well as providing an educational resource centre on woman's and gender issues.
